Last Purchase from Cost Plus World Market

I have been a Cost Plus WorldMarket ("CPWM") customer for years. The closest location to me is Daly City, CA. My preference is to shop in store; however, often times what I want is out of stock at that location, so I have my order shipped. In order to qualify for free shipping, you need to spend a minimum of $49. On 6/25/24, I placed order no. 11040512824 for a total of $55.17. Most of my orders are shipped by Federal Express. On 6/28/24, my order was delivered. None of the items I ordered were delivered. I received three placemats I did not order. I immediately called CPWM and opened case no. 79450928. I told the woman with whom I spoke that since I paid for my order I want the items contained in my order. I also indicated whoever packed my order made a mistake. The packing slip showed what I ordered. Despite this, none of the items were included. I also told the rep that if they were to make arrangements for Federal Express to pick up the placemats that I am more than happy to work with CPWM but because this is their mistake I will not drive to Federal Express. I also indicated that due to their mistake my order containing the items I ordered should be expedited or my order would be late. For the next five days I heard nothing so I placed another call. Long story short, my order is being shipped piecemeal. By the time I receive the last item, three weeks will have elapsed since placing my order. Customer support is non-existent. As a repeat customer who frequently purchases from CPWM, this is a huge disappointment. I decided rather than go through the irritation and frustration of making yet a fifth call to ascertain when my order will be delivered, I will never again order from CPWM. I have given CPWM many opportunities to make the situation right. They do not want to accept responsibility. As an aside I hope they refund the customer that purchased the three placemats although I wouldn't hold my breath.

WORST Market should be their name

Their website, customer service and products are the WORST! I ordered an outdoor table that warped within 2 weeks of use. They told me it needed to be covered when not in use otherwise it will warp and chip. It's an outdoor table! and It was under cover! Then, I ordered two chairs. The website said they were in stock. They charged me $400.00 plus oversized shipping when they shipped a smaller less expensive chair! When I called, they would not release my money back to me until they picked up the chair that their warehouse sent by mistake. one week later, I had to call again to find out why my credit was not issued. They said they would not credit it until the merchandise was returned. Which is also funny, they said as soon as Fedex picked up the incorrect item, they would credit my account. They have been holding my money "hostage" for their mistakes. Warning - do not purchase from World Market!!
