We ordered a large couch from Wayfair. It was listed as in stock until we ordered it and then the status was quickly changed to back ordered. At this point, no big deal to wait an additional 4 weeks. Supply Chain issues are endemic everywhere. The couch finally shipped and a delivery date was set, great. We needed to get rid of our current couch and recliner to make room for the new couch, which we did on the delivery day. The delivery men called and said they would be there in 20 to 30 minutes, great. About an hour later we got a call from Wayfair saying the driver couldn’t locate my street, then I was put on hold, I hung up after 15 minutes. An hour later I called Wayfair customer service (I was stunned they hadn’t called me). The customer service rep looked into it and reported that the driver went back to the warehouse and was now gone for the day. He offered to reschedule to delivery for 2 days from now. I explained that I had no furniture in my living room and if It wasn’t going to be delivered today, at least deliver tomorrow. He said all he could do was schedule it in the next open slot. I explained that it wasn’t that I wanted it tomorrow, I needed it delivered tomorrow as we were having guests that evening and my living room was empty. He said he was sorry but he had done everything he could. I asked if he could call the dispatcher, apparently not. The most he could do was to email the dispatcher, which he said he did. He also mentioned that the driver indicated that my street doesn’t show up on his GPS map. I asked the rep to pull up his map and enter my address, he did and there was my street and house. Later that evening, it was posted on the Wayfair site that the customer missed. This would indicate that we weren’t home at the delivery time, not that the driver got lost. Sounds dishonest to me. All I was expecting was Wayfair would do what they said they would do, nothing more. I wonder if Wayfair management realizes this lack of responsibility and accountability not to mention professionalism is a direct reflection on their leadership. Hopefully, someday the couch will actually be delivered.
Never experienced any retailer would cancel order by giving reason listing for this item was incorrectly priced. totally unprofessional. Not worth spending time.
This website is really a fake website that lists fake products and then takes orders from customers. Then they keep pushing the delivery date until the customer cancels. Horrible customer service. They just give you two options, one is to cancel and get a refund or pay a higher price for a similar product. Until that point, they get to keep the customer's money which they use for n number of investment purposes. Stay away from this fake website. Just google any product that you want to order on this website and you can find 10-20% cheaper prices elsewhere.
