Cancellation effective date for my policy was 01-02-2024. On 03-29-2024, a so-called renewal became active and posted an unauthorized charge of $2875 to my credit card on the same day. It is horrific that a company and/or its partners store credit card information without permission and making unauthorized purchases. Moreover, no one ever reply to system message that I sent thru online account. The initial phone call was hanged up by STEADILY system, 2nd phone call was forwarded to a satisfactory evaluation system. 3rd attempt redirected me to the right agent. Now the so-called renewal has been cancelled; however, it's been over a month, have not seen the refund yet.

Still waiting for refund

After paying for a landlord policy and receiving my binder, I was contacted by a third party about an inspection. The agent from whom I purchased the policy never mentioned an inspection and I was concerned that the inspection scheduler said they would be looking for needed repairs interior and exterior. Not my experience with other insurers, so I contacted Steadily and canceled my policy. I got confirmation of my cancellation by email and was told my refund would be issued in 10-15 business days. When I did not receive my refund I again contacted Steadily and this time was given a number of excuses claiming the fault was with another third party and my refund would come in 45-60 business days. Again, having not received my refund as 60 days approached I reached out to Steadily today only to be given a new set of excuses and I was told a refund could take 60-90 days. Enough I am filing a complaint with the Commission for Banking and Insurance, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. I encourage others who are experiencing similar difficulties to pursue complaints to state and federal government agencies that try to protect consumers from dishonest business practices.

5 star experience 2x! I purchased my first home and live in a very tricky insurance market on the gulf coast, so from the beginning I was fighting an uphill battle.
