Splacer is an online platform and marketplace for people to list, discover, and book short-term spaces for unique event experiences.

Splacer utilises a network of local scouts and affiliates to access unique spaces and curates its offering to ensure only the best venues are listed on the platform.

As architects, we believe we can improve the way we use and share space in order to foster creativity, build community and promote a more sustainable model of urban life.

Our marketplace gives access to undiscovered and underutilized spaces, offering extraordinary arenas for events,experiences and activations of all shapes and sizes. Unlike other platforms, Splacer curates its spaces: all spaces
are reviewed by our team with an eye for great design.

Event organizers can browse listings and filter spaces by size, location, event-type, or general keyword. Once they find a space they like, organizers can connect with the host to receive additional information.

Sign up your beautiful space by entering some basic information. Once approved, the Splacer Team will reach out for additional information about your space, pictures, and the types of events you would welcome. Once listed on the site, you can communicate with event organizers about availability and prices. Splacer will handle payment processing and all other backend details to guarantee a safe and secure exchange all around.

Splacer Payment is a nightmare

Splacer for the most part is a simple app to work with. Their major downfall is the way in which they pay their hosts. They use a shady company called Payoneer, which, if you do your research you will find out that they have their fair share of complaints. Payoneer will receive the funds from Splacer, and then, your funds will sit in Payoneer for days and/or weeks on hold for no apparent reason, despite their claim of 3-5 business days. We have yet to have access to our funds and we are well past the 3-5 business days mark. I strongly advise anyone looking to rent their space, to look into Giggster instead of Splacer. Giggster payment is way faster and is direct, without the use of some unknown shady payment processing company. I gave Splacer a 2 star review becuase the purpose of Splacer is for hosts to rent their space to get paid. In this, and several other instances, the payment part of the process is the problem, therefore rendering Splacer rather redundant.
