Completely abandoned on a claim

Completely abandoned on a claim. No help whatsoever and refused my request for a call from a director. Very happy to take your money for a policy but not willing to do anything when you need to claim. I have had a policy with them for 10 years but that means nothing. Avoid.

Waste of time

I submitted a proposal for cover on a holiday apartment in Spain which is jointly owned by a group of friends. We had no difficulty in insuring the property over the previous 30 years with a Spanish insurer and only sought alternative cover because our Spanish agent ceased trading. Schofields stated that underwriters did not wish to offer a quotation and when asked why in order to assist us with seeking cover elsewhere, they would not reply. Don’t waste your time on them.

Lack of Courtesy

I sought a quote for insurance for our holiday cottages. Having spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone, and anticipating that the next communication would be a quotation I was amazed to receive a message stating that we did not meet the criteria for insurance. Then followed a list of criteria - all of which we meet. So assumptions made without the courtesy of discussing the matter with me.
