It wasn’t long ago that I was in various states of being unemployed or underemployed for nearly two years. While looking for full time work, I tried almost every conceivable way to make a side income.

Delivering packages around town in my car? Check.

I even edited video of random high school sports games from across the country for a while.

All of these (and more) did an okay job of bringing in a few extra dollars here and there, but were either too time-consuming, too inconsistent, or too low-paying to make a real difference on my income each month.

Then I discovered a way to make several hundred (sometimes thousand) dollars a month renting my place online through Airbnb, and I never looked back.

It hasn’t always been easy.

I have run into problems like not having a clue how to setup an attractive online profile for my place, and trying to bounce back after a guest wrote a negative public review when they found my place to be not to their standards.

Now I am no longer worrying about the money I make being less than my expenses every month.

I was so excited about all this that I began to share this with every friend, family member, and gas station attendant that would listen, because I knew they could get the same results.
