Altido disrespects people so AVOID Altido

We are experienced international travelers who are always top-rated by our hosts. We booked a luxury apartment two weeks for the Fringe and promptly (and politely) informed Altido upon discovering at least eight major problems upon our arrival (garbage on patio, non-working shower, etc.) and attached photographs. Altido promised to fix the problems but never showed before our stay ended. They then emailed us "thank you for drawing these problems to our attention," assured us each problem had been corrected after we left, and "promise(d) to do better next time." They refused to comp or at least credit a reasonable sum. Despite our patient approach, incl a letter and photos to their London-based CEO, Altido was insulting and uncaring. They refused to credit or partially comp for their failures. We cannot strongly enough urge everyone to avoid these characters.

Report any issues straightaway...

If you don't report any issues straight away, you are assumed to be a liar, and won't be compensated. Damaged an item of clothing (brand new jeans purchased the day of arrival) on some paint work on the outdoor furniture. I assumed it would come out, so didn't make a big deal of it etc. Returned home, washed 4 times & the stain remains. No resolution or compensation offered, just accusations of being a liar. The value of the jeans for reference, was less than 1% of the total cost of the rental. Terrible customer service.

Centrally located beautiful apartment in the heart of Genova

Spacious bright apartment very close to city center; excellent travel options; Metro around the corner. Well organized kitchen, table seating for 10. 18-20 Ft ceiling height. Carrefour express market is just beside the front door. The only downside we observed was the second bathroom which didn't had a proper ventilation. Everything else was fantastic. Overall an exceptional experience.
